Wood substitution products from Bagasse. Panel Plus Group deals with particle board businesses
under Mitr Phol Sugar Group. It was first set up under the name of Particle Board Co. Ltd. utilizing bagasse from Mitr Phu Kieo Sugar Mill in Chaiyaphum province since 1990. The undertaking was a direct result of the company’s dual objectives of the constant drive to create values to the sugar production process, and the concern and care for the natural environment. Therefore, the industrial wastes in the form of bagasse fiber is used as the main raw material in combination with modern industrial technology and production process to produce up to 100,000 cubic meters of high quality plain particle board annually. |

| In order to satisfy the rapidly growing demand for substitution wood products, the Furnish Board Co., Ltd. has been set up since 1995 at Kratumban district, Samutsakorn province to serve as the distribution center for customers in the central region. The company also adds value to the plain board by lamination to produce the so-called Melamine Faced Chipboards available in a variety of colors and textures. |

| The business was further expanded by taking over another company in Hat Yai district, Songkhla province and changed the name to Panel Plus Co. Ltd., in 2004. The company is strategically located in one of the largest rubber trees plantation areas of the country. With the additional source of rubber wood as raw material combined with the latest technology and modern production process, the company can now produce 400,000 cubic meters of particle board and 30 million square meters of Melamine Faced Chipboards per year. The competitive edge of the group has been strengthened, together with the ability to cater to the increasing needs of domestic and overseas customers. |
