Mitr Phol Sugar Group was initially established in Ratchaburi province in 1946 as a small family business producing and trading condensed syrup to sugar mills. It was in 1956 that Mitr Phol Sugar Corporation Limited, as it is known today, was formally set up with in-house capacity to produce its own sugar. Since then, the company has expanded its business to meet the increasing demands within the sugar industry and recognized as Thailand top producer and exporter of sugar.
Every single crystal of Mitr Phol sugar has been processed via a highly reliable and automated system that ensures compliance with international food safety standards. It is also treated in a conditioning silo to ensure a consistently high quality of sugar before delivering to customers and consumers.
Mitr Phol has also developed their packing system to provide better, faster and more efficient services. |

Since sugar is regarded as food item, Mitr Phol Group has to pay strict attention to the storing and packaging systems no less than quality production control. In 1995, Mitr Phol decided to invest more than 200 million baht on the construction of packing station. This station is one of the most modern facilities in Asia and certified by GMP Food Safety standard. It is also equipped with advanced storage and sugar packing technology that helps increase our packing capacity. The conditioning silo is another modern facility that Mitr Phol Group has invested to ensure a consistently high quality of sugar.
As regards the transportation system, Mitr Phol uses multi modules of transportation such as carrying trucks, special designed tank car, train and marine vessel, etc. to deliver our sugar production to customers who have specific demands on their business.
The new system increases Mitr Phol’s capability to provide better, faster and more efficient services. For instance, our tank car can save a lot of time on loading as it can be connected directly to production line. It also reduce unnecessary costs arising from labor handling and warehouse management. More importantly, it prevents contamination possibly caused by labor handling.
