Export Market |
 |
| |
The Mitr Phol Group are renowned as one of Thailand’s largest and most highly respected sugar producers and exporters. We have held
the number one position in terms of market share of sugar products for several consecutive years. The Group’s four large mills are
located in the country’s sugar belt, from central area to northern part and northeastern province of Thailand. The total daily production
capacity of the Group is 80,000 tons of sugarcane, which amount to 4,000 tons of raw sugar, 1,800 tons of white sugar, 2,700 tons of
refined sugar and 4,000 tons of molasses for the domestic and export markets. As the tremendously growing company and satisfied
with the results of its domestic initiatives, Mitr Phol Group has rapidly expanded to the global markets. To respond more fully to the
increasing demand for sugar from throughout the world, The Group established its exporting base, ‘Pacific Sugar Corperation’ in 1984
to export both raw and refined sugar to the international market in order to meet the steadily growing demands of both individual
consumers and industry. |

Note
* An ICUMSA rating is an international unit for expressing the purity of the sugar in solution, and is directly related to the color of the sugar. There are different types of ICUMSA units. The lower the ICUMSA figure the whiter the sugar.
** Polarization is an estimate of the sucrose content of sugar. Sugar of 98 degrees polarization would contain about 98% sucrose.
Raw Sugar The first output from sugar processing is raw sugar. Raw sugar products mostly are used by industrial sectors such as feed meal and food stuff. Thai raw sugar is mainly for export to those countries with the shortage of raw material to be re-processed or refined to white or refined sugar eventually.
Golden Granulated Sugar/ VHP Sugar Very High Polarization sugar ( VHP Sugar ) is light brown, dry and free-flowing sugar. Thai VHP Sugar is mainly targeted at the end users for tea & coffee, cereal and dessert ingredients. Thai VHP sugar is very light brownish grain sometimes called Golden Granulated Sugar.
White Sugar White sugar is normally used for the industrial sectors, such as soft drink industries, confectionery as well as for general cooking purposes. Thai White sugar products are very popular in many ASEAN countries and neighborhood, especially the big grain size white sugar is very well accepted by end user in Indonesia.
Refined Sugar Refined sugar is first grade quality sugar, with the longest time of refining process. Thai Refined Sugar products are produced to meet the high quality standard. Thai Refined sugar is pure, sweet and clean, mostly consumed by the direct consumers especially in Thailand. In addition, many industrial sectors tend to switch from white sugar to refined and super refined sugar to offer end users higher quality products. Refined sugar is now one of the main raw material products for world leading soft-drink companies, pharmaceutical industries, and processed food industries. |
