MitrPhol starts pulp and paper factory in China |

Bangkok – 29 January 2008, Mitr Phol Group has officially started the operation of its pulp and paper factory
in China under the company name Guangxi East Asia Paper Co., Ltd. This move is a part of Mitr Phol ongoing
international expansion plan. The 200-rai factory is located in Chongzuo district, Nanning City, Guangxi Province,
China. The factory represents an investment of 550 million yuan (2,475 million baht), and is equipped with
state-of-the-art technology for environmental protection. The new plant has a production capacity of 60,000 tons
per year and will consume 200,000 tons of bagasse per day.
Opening a pulp and paper factory that can use bagasse as raw material is a further demonstration of Mitr Phol’s
business philosophy in growing its business by optimizing natural resources and adding value to local agriculture
productivity.
