Bangkok, June 5, 2026 – Mitr Phol Sugar advances its business under a sustainable development strategy, with a firm commitment to social and environmental responsibility through the development of its environmentally friendly “Green Chain” supply chain, spanning from upstream to downstream operations. The company has further strengthened its “Green Fleet” initiative for eco-friendly transportation from farms to customers and consumers, positioning it as a key downstream mechanism that completes the sustainability value chain and extends sustainable value to business partners. The initiative is designed to create opportunities for carbon reduction and support customers in achieving their environmental goals across industries, reinforcing Mitr Phol’s position as a world-class sustainable sugar producer.
Mr. Parin Amatyakul, Senior Executive Vice President Marketing Group, stated: “For more than 69 years, Mitr Phol Sugar has grown its business in parallel with social and environmental responsibility throughout the entire value chain, from upstream to downstream operations. This journey begins with promoting modern sugarcane farming practices through the Mitr Phol ModernFarm initiative, in line with globally recognized sustainability standards such as Bonsucro and the VIVE Program. These initiatives support green cane harvesting, reduce field burning, and encourage the collection of sugarcane leaves for biomass power generation. Beyond minimizing environmental impacts, they also help generate additional income for farmers. Within the manufacturing process, Mitr Phol Sugar remains committed to enhancing resource efficiency and continuously reducing greenhouse gas emissions through the use of biomass-generated electricity within its factories, loss reduction initiatives, and water reuse systems. Currently, more than 56 products have received Carbon Footprint Product certification, while 13 additional products have been certified for Carbon Footprint Reduction. Furthermore, over 95% of the company’s packaging is recyclable or biodegradable. On the downstream side, which serves as a critical touchpoint connecting the company with business partners and customers, Mitr Phol Sugar has elevated its Green Fleet initiative into a core driver of its fully integrated Green Chain strategy. This includes the deployment of electric trucks (EV Trucks) for transporting syrup from the Mitr Phol Dan Chang Sugar Mill in Suphan Buri Province to leading corporate customers, including Green Spot (Thailand) Co., Ltd., T.C. Pharmaceutical Industries Co., Ltd. under the TCP Group, ThaiNamthip Corporation Public Company Limited, Sermsuk Public Company Limited, F&N Dairies (Thailand) Co., Ltd. The company also plans to expand EV Truck syrup deliveries to Suntory PepsiCo Beverage (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in the near future.”

In the initial phase, four EV Trucks were deployed to complete a total of 723 deliveries between September 2025 and May 2026. By utilizing electricity generated from Mitr Phol’s biomass power plants, the initiative reduced greenhouse gas emissions by more than 200 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent, compared to diesel-powered transportation. In 2027, Mitr Phol plans to further expand the deployment of EV trucks, increasing transportation operations to a total of 1,800 trips. This expansion is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by more than 600 tons of CO₂ equivalent, reinforcing the effectiveness of clean energy management across the value chain and demonstrating tangible carbon reduction outcomes at an industrial scale.
“Mitr Phol Sugar is committed to advancing its Green Chain strategy across every dimension of the business, particularly through the enhancement of environmentally friendly transportation, or Green Fleet, which serves as a critical connection point with our business partners. The adoption of EV Trucks not only helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but also enables our partners to further strengthen their sustainability goals while enhancing competitiveness across the entire supply chain in a concrete way,” Mr. Parin concluded. Through this approach, “Mitr Phol Sugar” not only delivers high-quality products, but also serves as a trusted business partner committed to driving a low-carbon society forward together with all sectors.
