Mitr Phol Group expanded production base to the People Republic of China (PRC) in 1993.The business started up in the form of joint venture between Mitr Phol and PRC’s sugar mills in Guangxi County and was registered in the name of “Guangxi Nanning East Asia Sugar Co.,Ltd.”

At present, Mitr Phol Group owns 6 sugar mills in Guangxi County with annual crushing capacity of approximately 10 million tons of cane, yielding approximately 1 million tons of sugar per year

The Group has developed sugar business to other value added business derived from by-products such as Bio-Power, Fertilizer and Yeast business with the support of R&D and Mitr Phol ModernFarm management.

In 2006, Mitr Phol Group expanded its production base to Savannakhet, LPDR under the name “Mitr Lao”

The mill has average crushing capacity of 600,000 tons of sugarcane per year with approximately 72,000 tons of sugar and 5,000 tons of organic sugar per year.

Most of sugar produced in LPDR is exported to overseas such as EU and Vietnam.

In 2012, Mitr Phol Group expanded our investment to Queensland State, Australia, joining with MSF Sugar, owns and operates 3 sugar mills with total crushing capacity of 4.7 million tons of cane and yielding 550,000 tons of raw sugar per year.
